Research project

Within the scope of the SojaGenoPath project I'm mining soybean genebanks for potential abiotic adaptation useful for Central European soybean breeding. My research focuses on the selection of suitable accessions per se as well as on the molecular mechanisms and the genetic architecture of soybean environmental adaptation. I am using extensive datasets including genomic, phenotypic and environmental data for thousands of soybean accessions in order to retrieve beneficial variation for practical breeding purposes in a targeted fashion.
